Mark Lamarr

Mark Lamarris an English comedian, radio DJ and television presenter who rose to prominence during the 1990s as part of a new wave of alternative British entertainment. Known for his dry wit and distinctive on-screen persona, he became a familiar face across both comedy and music-based programming.

He served as a team captain on Shooting Stars from 1995 to 1997, where his sharp, deadpan humour helped define the show’s cult appeal. Lamarr went on to achieve wider recognition as the host of Never Mind The Buzzcocks, fronting the music-comedy series from 1996 until 2005. His tenure on the show played a key role in shaping its irreverent tone and establishing it as a staple of British panel television.

Alongside his television work, Lamarr has also built a respected career in radio broadcasting, further cementing his reputation as a versatile and influential figure in UK entertainment.
